I couldn’t be more excited about Ikea coming to our area! This will be amazing for Norfolk and Virginia Beach too! Just think, no more three hour drive to IKEA! Those long trips to meet your fitbit step goals while just hitting one store will be a thing of the past in just about a year.
A groundbreaking event for the new store has been set for Nov. 17. Local and state officials — including Mayor Kenny Alexander and Gov. Terry McAuliffe — will be on-hand for the ceremony.
The Swedish home furnishings retailer will be building a 338,000 square foot store in the northwest corner of Interstate 64 and Northampton Boulevard. The site used for the mega-furniture store is smaller than they’re used to, so they’re tweaking construction plans.
Ikea has said the store is expected to support about 500 construction jobs, with 250 jobs in the store once it opens.

""Finding a rental management company while also in the process of transferring and moving down to Florida from Virginia. I love that they have been quick to respond via email, my schedule is hectic so I do not have time to talk on the phone, but I can always check my email. They have been able to answer all my millions of questions, and give advice when needed. I like that I can rent my property and include what I want and choose how I want to rent it. Best part is they charge a flat free as oppose to competitors that charge a percentage of the rental income, which ate up most of the profit trying to make.""
